How do I find information on categories? https://www.fultonschools.org/techcompetition
Do my students already know about categories? Yes, I have gone over categories, dates, and rules for the competition with each 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade class. We also brainstormed ideas.
Can parents, teachers, and fellow students come to the Ocee Tech Competition? The Ocee Tech Fair is for competitors and judges only. We will take lots of pictures and share those on Otter Talk!
Should students bring their own computer/device? Yes, if there is specialized software on the computer such as Photoshop. However, we will have a few iPads and desktop computers that may be used. **If the student advances to the county competition, he/she will have to bring their own device.
What if my student comes in 1st place at the Ocee Technology Competition?
The student winning 1st place from each category will move on to compete in the Fulton County Technology Competition. The County Tech Competition will be held on Dec. 14th at Centennial High School. Information for 1st place projects will be emailed to parents. Parents must provide transportation for their children to complete in the Fulton Co Tech Competition.
Can parents help students with projects? Yes, you may work with your student/child. They will need to know how and why they used the software or completed the project. Students need to understand the project and be able to explain the processes.
